We recently announced that after 10 years of community building across North America, Mappy Hour as an organization will be saying goodbye in 2025. We know y’all probably have lots of questions and we’ll be answering them here throughout the next few weeks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Mappy Hour?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mappy Hour is<\/a> a community of urban dwelling outdoor enthusiasts. We started in New York City in 2014 and launched chapters across the country, helping almost 20,000 people connect with the great outdoors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is Mappy Hour totally shutting down?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are so proud of the 10 years of events, community and fun we’ve had but all good things eventually come to an end. Our founder Sarah Knapp wrote an open letter to the community here. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I stay connected with the community?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As a community-led organization, we are supporting each chapter leader in choosing ‘what’s next’ for their local community. This might mean a facebook group or Whatsapp group – all active chapter members will be notified by email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wait, I’m actually so sad, what do I do?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are too! But we want to CELEBRATE 10 years of absolutely incredible experiences together. We’ll be building out this website to reflect the vast array of events and people involved in the organization and encourage you to share your favorite memories on Instagram with the tag #mappyhour.
