September 22nd, OutdoorFest is teaming up with Sailors NYC to bring you a nautically themed Mappy Hour.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Doors&#8221; open at 7:00PM and we&#8217;ll have Sailors NYC&#8217;s Captain Nitzan Levy start presenting at 7:30PM on nautical charts, navigation and more. After that we&#8217;ll be hanging out on the boat&#8217;s deck, enjoying fresh breezes from the river.<\/p>\n<p>This Mappy Hour will\u00a0<em>definitely<\/em>\u00a0be selling out so grab your spot now by registering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.squadup.com\/events\/outdoorfest-mappy-hour\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.squadup.com\/events\/outdoorfest-mappy-hour\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More about the boat &#8211; the LILAC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LILAC is a 1933 lighthouse tender that once carried supplies to lighthouses and maintained buoys for the U.S. Lighthouse Service and the U.S. Coast Guard.\u00a0 Decommissioned in 1972, USCGC LILAC is now a museum ship owned by the non-profit Lilac Preservation Project.\u00a0 As America&#8217;s only surviving steam-powered lighthouse tender, LILAC\u00a0is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is eligible to become a National Historic Landmark.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More about our September partner &#8211; Sailors NYC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sailorsnyc.com\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/sailorsnyc.com\">Sailors NYC <\/a>is a sailors club and an affiliated ASA (American Sailing Association) school.
