We recently announced that we were sunsetting our community programming at Mappy Hour. After 10+ years of speakers, campouts and clean-ups, it had become increasingly difficult to fund the program through short-term sponsorship agreements. Ultimately, we decided we didn’t want to create a paid membership because it wasn’t part of the ethos of our mission to increase participation in outdoor recreation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After our announcement, many community members reached out to see if there was an opportunity to save Mappy Hour and while we aren’t bringing back our original digital platform we are excited to announce the new Mappy Hour licensing program. We think it’s a perfect marriage of brand partnerships and community engagement and we can’t wait for you all to experience outdoor-themed Mappy Hour’s in a city near you this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
How it works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We are now working with select corporate partners to bring free, public Mappy Hour’s to their retail spaces. For the adventurer (that’s you!) nothing much has changed from the experience side. You’ll be notified by email when an event is posted in your city and easily be able to attend.
