Members brought in new and lightly used gear to donate to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/citykidsdc.org\/\">City Kids<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>a local non-profit that brings DC kids who might not otherwise experience the outdoors into the wilderness.<\/p>\n<p>Eloise Russo, the executive director of City Kids, and Callie Sadler, director of programs, told us more about how City Kids serves DC&#8217;s youth through after-school programs and a summer camp in Jackson, WY. And for a second, it felt like we were all at summer camp, as Callie led a game of group <strong>rock-paper-scissors,<\/strong> where the loser had to cheer on the winner, until finally we had two players left standing and two giant cheering squads.<\/p>\n<p>Callie and Eloise also talked about ways to get involved with City Kids, whether as a trip leader or an office volunteer.
