This week marks one full year of Mappy Hour! Here’s a fun timeline of the highlights of our very first year of Mappy Hour-ing.<\/p>\n

TIMELINE<\/h3>\n

MARCH 10 2014<\/h5>\n

March 10th:\u00a0<\/em>We launched Mappy Hour and our\u00a0Indiegogo Video<\/a>\u00a0for the summer festival at Fjallraven. A mention in the\u00a0New York\u00a0Times City Room Blog<\/a>\u00a0really kicked things off and the event filled to capacity.<\/p>\n

March 30th:<\/em>\u00a0We were so excited about Mappy Hour, we had a\u00a0second one in March\u00a0<\/em>at Icebreaker Soho. This time\u00a0EcoCult<\/a>\u00a0put us on the list of\u00a0“Eco-friendly and Cool things to do in NYC.”<\/p>\n

JUNE 2 2014<\/h3>\n

Our official OutdoorFest Mappy Hour took over the classic Brooklyn Rod & Gun Club in Williamsburg. We were graced with the presence of famous instagramer\u00a0Mike Gutkin<\/a>\u00a0and did outdoor trivia with Appalachian Mountain Club of NY & NJ.<\/p>\n

2014 CONTINUED<\/h5>\n

We had an awesome Mappy Hour every month in 2014 with presentations from a cyclist, a cartographer, a naturalist, and a sailor., in April two people realizing they had been at the McMurdo Research Station in\u00a0Antarctica around the same time. Then in\u00a0May\u00a0Well & Good<\/a>\u00a0came to Mappy Hour to find out who the most adventurous New Yorkers were. In September we connected aboard a historic steamer in the NYC Harbor and in October we got early access to NYC’s newest brewery.<\/p>\n

JANUARY 2015<\/h5>\n

January 22nd\u00a0<\/em>We had the opportunity to bring Mappy Hour to Outdoor Retailer, the outdoor industry’s bi-annual trade show. We ran Mappy Hour in a space called Venture Out which was full of other new brands that specifically connected the urban + outdoors.<\/p>\n

January 29th\u00a0<\/em>We launched Mappy Hour in Washington D.C. with 140 people from the area. The Wilderness Society just happened to be having a happy hour at the same time. Our conclusion? Mappy Hour DC was meant to be.<\/p>\n

MARCH 10TH 2015:<\/h5>\n

We celebrated our one year anniversary with all of our speakers and multiple people who had been at the very first Mappy Hour. And we also\u00a0opened the champagne with an axe<\/a>.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
