Melissa Goodwin thought she was only going to be hiking for a month with her Dad. Six months later she’d completed the entirety of the Appalachian Trail and started a journey towards starting her own guiding company Girl Gotta Hike. Now Melissa has not only continued long distance hiking but has started her own hiking company called Girl Gotta Hike<\/a>\u00a0she notes:<\/p>\n

“That’s what keeps bringing me back. It’s the people, it’s being outside, it’s that combination of alone time out there where you get to think and figure things out…doing it with friends so you get to share that too.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
