The Explore More Challenge is a multi-month challenge that rewards you for going outside with new Mappy Hour friends with prizes from The North Face! Each chapter specific guide includes 10 challenges that help you explore your city and do other local adventures in Washington State.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2><b>The Explore More Challenge: How it works<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>There are 10 challenges each with a point value.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Some challenges include BONUSES, which means, if you do them you get bonus points in addition to the normal challenge points (eg. If you go bike riding at Duthie Hill Park, you get the 5 points for riding (the original challenge) and an extra 5 points for riding Duthie Hill (bonus!) for a total of 10 points!)<\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The SEA Challenge <\/span><b>runs from January 22, 2020 to September 22, 2020. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can complete adventures any time between those dates.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Goal: Get 60 points<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (be the first to reach 60 points and you will win a North Face prize pack &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B5VP4GyJVa6\/\">check out the one the NYC champion snagged.<\/a> ).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mappyhour.org\/chapters\/seattle\"><b>Attend a Mappy Hour Seattle event<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at The North Face on Pike St. + <\/span><b>bring a picture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of yourself going the Challenge + MH SEA chapter leader (Lindsay) will enter your Challenge in the Official Logbook = <\/span><b>You get points!<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">must<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> attend a Mappy Hour event to \u201csign in\u201d to get points. Or enjoy a soak in the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympicnationalparks.com\/things-to-do\/mineral-hot-springs-pool-at-sol-duc-hot-springs-resort\/\"> Sol Duc hot springs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>North Cascades<strong>: <\/strong>Home to grizzly bears, grey wolves, lynx and wolverines, this park offers a true wilderness experience, despite being only a three hour drive from Seattle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pro Tip: <\/strong>Check out the bright blue water at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wta.org\/go-hiking\/hikes\/diablo-lake\"> Diablo lake<\/a> and hike up to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wta.org\/go-hiking\/hikes\/maple-pass\"> Maple Pass Loop<\/a>. Note: Be bear aware!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mount Rainier: At a towering 14,410 ft above sea level, Mount Rainier is an active volcano, AND the most glaciated peak in the contiguous US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pro Tip<\/strong>: Try the 93-mile<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wta.org\/go-hiking\/hikes\/wonderland-trail-thru-hike\"> Wonderland Trail<\/a>, which circumnavigates Mount Rainier.
