Description

Mappy Hour DC is back!

This month, we're celebrating Black History Month by sharing black history as it relates to the great outdoors and highlighting leaders who are the history makers in our community. We're excited to hear from two leaders in our community, Brittany Leavitt and Bethany Lebewitz. Brittany is a regional leader for Outdoor Afro and recently led a group backpacking trip along the Appalachian Trail that attempted to retrace Harriet Tubman's steps along the Underground Railroad. Bethany started bouldering five years ago and has become an advocate for diversity in climbing, founding @BrownGirlsClimb and organizing meetups for climbers of color.

As always, we'll have name tags, maps, and good company. Beer is on you, but burgers are half-price, so come hungry. Can't wait to see you all!
