Description

Want to spend time in nature but nervous about how wild it can get? Join us as we discuss flora (plants) and fauna (animals)

We’ll talk through fears, both rational and irrational, and best practices for minimizing your risk while spending time in nature.

Don’t let fear stop you from getting outside!

This class will go over how to avoid and/or manage interactions with:
Creepy crawlies (snakes)
Bugs (ticks, bees, black flies)
Small critters (field mice, squirrels, raccoons)
Big critters (bears, coyote, mountain lions)
Plants that hurt (poison ivy & poison oak)

Speaker bio:
Kate Ayoub is an avid outdoor enthusiast and one of Mappy Hour DC's chapter leaders. When not in the woods, she works as a physical therapist and health coach.
