Description

How does mentorship through outdoor action sports translate into skills youth can take with them after the surfing ends?

Tonight, we'll chat with Steve Larosiliere, the founder and President of STOKED, on mentorship both on and off "the field" and how students are able to develop long term skills through action sports and creative programs.

The conversation will be followed by a screening of their new documentary, “This is Stoked,” which follows the journey of three STOKED participants in New York City and Los Angeles.

The Challenge
We're also encouraging all interested in mentorship, closing the opportunity gap and anti-racism to join us in the February STOKED Mentoring Challenge!

After you register via STOKED, shoot us an email at mappyhour@outdoorfest.com with your phone number and we'll add you to the Mappy WhatsApp thread for group discussion and your mailing address so we can send you a Mappy Hour x The North Face bandana!

About STOKED

STOKED creates a community of fearless leaders through mentoring, opportunity, and action. Through mentorship and action sports culture, STOKED empowers underserved youth to reach their fullest potential, instilling passion, resilience and determination.

All donations tonight go to funding STOKED's future mentorship programs. The North Face is giving away a Basecamp Duffel tonight as well - we'll randomly choose a winner out of the folks who donated at the end of the night!
