Mappy Hour Seattle is excited to launch our first monthly Mapout event!

The goal of these monthly Mapouts is to provide chapter members with a once-a-month meeting to socialize, plan meaningful events, and guide the direction of our chapter in a happy hour setting.

This month we will host our Mapout on Tuesday May 10th from 6pm-9pm at Gearhouse, a local outdoor gear rental service serving the Seattle community.

Gearhouse membership includes:

Outdoor gear rental services

Custom trip planning

Events, classes, & discussions

Maps, guidebooks, and hivemind knowledge

Access to bicycle repair bench and ski waxing bench

Recycling difficult items through our Terra-Cycle account

Mappy Hour Mapout agenda items to cover:

Upcoming events - bike tuneup class, biking the Woodinville wineries, kayaking the Ballard Locks, Timber! Music Festival, other ideas?

Mappy Hour Seattle communications - Email, social, Slack, Discord, Facebook group, etc.

Volunteer opportunities - seeking Mappy Hour "Ambassadors" to lead one-off events (ex. lead a hike), and/or be a point of contact for a specific group or hobby (ex. climbing)

And of course, plenty of time to mingle over drinks and casually explore what adventures await in Seattle for you this summer with Gearhouse's extensive planning resources.
