It's fall in New York which is (in our opinion) the absolute best time to go hiking! Join us for a 6.5 mile hike in Fahnestock State Park and a whiskey tasting afterwards thanks to our friends at Stillhouse Whiskey.

We wanted to find a hike that was mostly public transit accessible but not as wildly crazy as Breakneck Ridge so this spot is just 15 minutes from the train. We'll do a carpool/shuttle from the train for those of you without vehicles.

The hike will likely wrap up between 2-3pm and then we are planning to relax a bit trailside for the whiskey tasting. The 4:19pm or 5:17pm train from Cold Spring back to the city is the most likely return trip time for those taking the train.

Meet-up Spots:

• Option 1: Meet at the Cold Spring train station at 9:09 AM and we’ll drive you to the hike start. (The Metro-North Train leaves Grand Central at 7:45AM. You’ll take the Hudson Line to Cold Springs).
• Option 2: Meet us at the parking lot where the hike starts: Big Woods Parking Lot (Google Map)
