Description
Critical Mass is a very large group bike event gathering in Chicago every last Friday of every month. They've been organizing these group rides for more than a decade.
The event is radically inclusive with bikers, skaters, etc. All skill levels, ages, and interests are included. The goal: educate that “we are traffic” and equally entitled to the roads, for which we all pay, as bikers and drivers alike.
🔥 We're getting a group of Mappy Hour members together for the ride – come join us!
Event Details:
- Depart from: Daley Plaza
- Meet at: NW corner of Washington and Dearborn in downtown Chicago
- Meet-up time: 5:30 PM
- Departure time: 6:00 PM
What to Bring:
- Bike (or rent a Divvy!)
- Helmet
- Comfortable and warm clothes (if cold)
- Water / snacks
Route:
Critical Mass rides are point-to-point (aka start and end at different spots) and range from 6-10 miles total. Plan to bike home or to a hub of your choice during or after the ride.
The route for this month is still TBD; more details to come about a potential Mappy Hour post-party after the route is published by Critical Mass.
Mappy Hour is all about community – and that means supporting other local outdoor community groups in our cities. While this event is not organized by Mappy Hour, a group of our members will attend together in community!
