Description

The south side of Chicago contains some of the city's most historic outdoor spaces. Burnham Park is an iconic segment of the Chicago Outerbelt that leads to Jackson Park, South Shore Cultural Center, and so much more.

We will spend the day seeing landmarks featured in the 1893 World's Fair while trekking unpaved trails in the city limits. Chicagoans have enjoyed exploring the Garden of the Phoenix and places like it for over a century.

This field trip is an easy introduction to the lakefront trail if you're new to biking in the city, so grab your bike or a Divvy to join us. We will bike into Jackson Park and hike Wooded Island to a 'scenic Japanese sanctuary'. The day will close at the beach tucked within the gates of the South Shore Cultural Center. We will have drinks on hand for everyone to sip on at the end of the day courtesy of our friends at Solemn Oath Brewing. Additional concessions will be available for purchase at South Shore Social Beach Club

This trip is free, so choose your own adventure. Feel free to join us or peel off whenever you'd like, but be sure to register above.
