Soak in the last bit of summer on Chicago's south side with REI Co-op 🛶

Mappy Hour Chicago's hitting the water with REI Co-op for a sunset paddle on the south branch Chicago River at the Ping Tom Boathouse.

We'll paddle north from Ping Tom Park in Chinatown for an incredible view of the skyline as the sun goes down – exploring Chicago's urban nature along the way. Post-paddle, we'll relax at Ping Tom Park with some NA beverages provided!

Event Itinerary:

• 6:00 pm – Meet at Ping Tom Boathouse
• 6:20 pm – Head out for the paddle
• 8:00 pm – Event ends

Registration Includes:

• Single kayak rental
• Life jacket + paddle
• 'How to paddle' orientation
• New friends and fun times
• Post-paddle happy hour with non-alcoholic drinks

All experience levels are welcome!

Parking + Direcitons:

Paid and limited free parking is available on S. Wentworth Ave. and W. 19th St. in the Chinatown neighborhood near Ping Tom Park. Arrive early to find parking and walk west down 19th St.

The Ping Tom Boathouse is located in Ping Tom Park at the REI Co-op Kayak Rentals at Ping Tom Memorial Park.

Weather / Refund Notice: In the event of severe rain, we will reschedule the event. In the rare chance we need to cancel the event in its entirety due to inclement weather, we will certainly provide refunds.
