Description

Tonight, we're teaming up with Natural Areas Conservancy and Arc'teryx Soho to learn about NYC's coolest new map project!

The Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC) recently launched an interactive web map of New York City’s 20,000+ acres of natural areas.

Named NYC Nature Map, this map identifies the locations of these forests and wetlands and provides detailed information about their size, current health, and relevant improvement projects. Users can filter data by borough, council district, or park — gaining an in-depth look into the state of nature in New York City and the actions that land managers are taking to conserve and restore it.

Join us at Arc'teryx to learn about the new map, how it got made, and how to use it to understand nature in NYC and find the great outdoors - nearby!

Thank you Arc'teryx for hosting and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. for bringing the refreshing brews!
