Description

Mappy Hour LIVE with Kareemah Batts:

Kareemah is joining us for the night to share her expertise in community building and DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) through an outdoor lens. In just an hour, she’ll dive into U.S. history to provide context for understanding the question “do I belong here?” and ask us to examine the language we use, how we define diversity and visual representation in the outdoors. She’ll also provide a framework for taking action responsibly.

Kareemah Batts is a New Yorker, Paraclimber, Stage 4 Cancer Survivor and amputee. She's a leading disability advocate in the climbing and outdoor world and the Founder of Adaptive Climbing Group.
