About me

After taking early retirement from teaching, I started traveling extensively. After visiting E. Malaysia on the Island of Borneo I returned to spend more time & and have been living there approximately 3 months a year since 2002. Due to my contacts & experiences in Borneo I decided to start my tour company "Jungle Jaunts". Specializing in adventure travel, I customize itineraries for my clients including jungle & river excursions to see endangered wildlife in their natural habitats; homestay visits with descendants of Borneo headhunting tribes; adventure trips such as mountain climbing, rafting, trekking & caving. Many programs are a combination of several of the above. There are many beautiful beach resorts also! The people are friendly, the climate tropical, the beaches beautiful, the political climate stable, the rainforests & wildlife amazing & the fruits delicious!
