Description

Mappy Hour is back at Patagonia this month to talk about how to make the outdoors more inclusive--specifically for members of the LGBTQ community.

Hannah Malvin, who started Pride Outside in DC to help introduce more members of the LGBTQ community to the outdoors, will talk about the importance of relevant, inclusive outdoor opportunities for everyone and the work being done--including the upcoming LGBTQ Outdoor Summit--to make sure everyone has a chance to get outside.

We'll also hear from Megan Springate of the National Park Service. In 2016, NPS released an LGBTQ Theme Study that identifies places and stories important to LGBTQ history and explores how this history can be preserved. Megan, who edited the theme story, will tell us about some of these places and the work being done to integrate LGBTQ history into NPS's work.

Join us for beer, snacks, and good conversation. Bring your maps and your questions!
