Description

Who needs a car when you can just bike straight out of the city? Tonight Mappy Hour members Dom, Justin and Leah will be sharing their experiences bikepacking from Washington D.C. to Pittsburgh.

The 333 mile route connects two trail systems: 184.5-mile C&O Canal Towpath and the 156 mile Great Allegheny Passage.

The speakers will share their experiences as well as answer key questions like:

  • how many days do you need?
  • how do you plan a trip like this?
  • where do you camp?
  • what level of fitness do you need?

Pull up a chair, grab a beer and join us to learn about what may be your next bikepacking adventure!

P.S. if you're based in D.C. and need a bike repair, check out Leah's company Upshift Workshop

This event is part of a summer long series with Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. dedicated to bikepacking. Grab a Pale Ale and join us to learn skills, hear stories and start planning your summer of biking and camping. Join in.
