We have been waiting 16 months to be able to create this event and finally, the day has arrived!
We're going to be back IRL on July 21st
This isn't just a party but a celebration of all things outdoorsy in New York City (and in true Mappy Hour fashion, chock full of information and resources).
Let's Talk Outdoor Adventure in NYC
The night will start out with our founder Sarah Knapp who will be sharing her favorite spots in the five boroughs to adventure. Then we'll have a variety of Adventure Corners where you can learn about:
- local climbing with Lulu Rodriguez from The Cliffs at Harlem
- paddling with guides from Manhattan Kayak Company
- hiking with author and explorer Jessica McKenzie of Pinch of Dirt
- surfing with Yael Manor of ALL aBOARD
- meet other folks who want to get out there this summer!
Our friends at Arc'teryx Soho have been gracious enough to be our hosts for the night (and there might be some Arc'teryx swag, we don't know, maybe, probably, okay there will be!) and our favorite brewery Sierra Nevada is going to be in attendance with brand new summer brews (#yum).

Health and Safety
1. Please come fully vaccinated and with a mask. If you haven't gotten your vaccine yet, head over to: www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/covid/covid-19-vaccines.page to get more information and then join us later in the summer.2. We will be following all local and national guidelines. Right now, that means we can have a masks off extravaganza indoors. If regulations change, we'll email everyone with our updates.
3. We will be regulating capacity to 50 people. We know this likely means everyone won't be able to come *but* we're working on adding more events for the summer ASAP.
