Queens born and based Patty Alcivar is on a mission to become the first Woman / Latina from Queens to climb the 7 Summits of the World. She's more than halfway there already, having successfully completed Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Mount Elbrus and Denali.

Join Mappy Hour and Arc'teryx NYC tonight to hear Patty share more about her "Climbing for a Dream-7 Summits" project and how her career as a boxing champion (she as the first female ever to be voted and win “Athlete of the Year" by the United States Olympic Committee) led her to mountaineering and climbing.

As always there will be plenty of time to meet new outdoorsy friends and grab a beer (provided by Sierra Nevada!) before and after Patty's talk.
