Description

Join geoscientists and outdoorsmen, Jesse and Chris, for a live recording of their podcast PlanetGeo!

Jesse is an Assistant Professor in Geosciences at Penn State University and Chris Bolhuis is a nationally-recognized and highly accomplished high school teacher. In fact, Chris taught Jesse while he was in high school! They became close friends and now run a podcast that communicates the importance and intrigue of the Geosciences.

On their podcast, PlanetGeo, they focus on communicating the importance of the Geoscience/Earth Science field to society in an engaging and entertaining way. Though they are just getting started with this podcast, they have interviewed several prominent scientists and leaders in the climate change community.

After a close vote on the Mappy Hour instagram, Glacier National Park beat out Cascades to win as the topic of this podcast!

Join in as Jesse and Chris record a live podcast episode on the geoscience of Glacier National Park where they will discuss how this spectacular part of the world formed, why it is special, and why you should plan your next trip there. Glacier National Park obviously has stunning glaciers, but it also has an amazing geological story to it.

Tune in to ask questions, hear what hikes to be sure to check out, and learn to appreciate this Park in a unique way!
