Description

Are you curious about climate? Have anxiety over our future on a planet suffering from the climate crisis? Want to learn more AND find an avenue to action? We're excited to unveil a new collaboration between Mappy Hour and Eco.Logic Programs: Eco.Crews!

Eco.Crews are designed to give people space to talk about environmental issues and help them take action through the support of a community.

Individuals are placed in small groups ("crews") that meet weekly for 6 weeks. Each crew has an expert facilitator to guide the group’s discussions and each week there is a call to action.

The program is open to anyone whether they are climate curious or a climate expert.

Session Topics:

October 11 - Climate Change and Environmental Justice.

October 18 - The role of the individual in the systemic challenge

October 25 - The role of money in climate

November 1 - Environmental Anxiety

November 8 - Practical tools for climate change communications

November 15 - Local Advocacy

FAQ
When does the Crew meet?
We will be meeting from 7-8:15pm

What is the time commitment?
Throughout the 6 weeks, we will share some recommended resources (articles / podcasts) that will help enhance conversations at meetings. These are not required, but recommended. The success of Eco.Crews is also dependent on the regular attendance of participants as we seek to build community. Of course, we understand if you need to miss some of the meetings, but we hope you prioritize attending when you can. By signing up, you understand that Eco.Crews is a commitment of approximately 2 hours/week.

Why do the crews cost $65?
The price helps cover the cost of Eco.Logic Facilitators and educational training.

Are there scholarships available?
Yes, we are offering need-based scholarships. If you require a partial or full scholarship, please send an email to info@ecologicprograms.org to state your interest in the program and what your financial need is. We want to make sure finances are not a barrier to joining.

What is Eco.logic
Eco.Logic is an education, arts, and community building non-profit that inspires people to take tangible action to address climate change. Through an inclusive and intersectional approach, we make environmental education accessible and personal, inspiring people to join the environmental movement in ways unique to them.
