“But somewhere along the way, I realized that what I was chasing was already gone. That the moment I fell off the cliff, I was already a different person.”
In 2017, athlete and professional sky runner Hillary Allen fell 150 feet off an exposed ridge during a race in Norway. She fractured her back and broke multiple ribs, both feet, and both of her lower arms. While doctors told Hillary she would never be able to even jog again, Hillary forged her own path toward a return not only to running but competing professionally.
In this interview, Hillary chats with fellow North Face athlete Kaytlyn Gerbin about her accident, her recovery and her new book , Out and Back: A Runner’s Story of Survival Against All Odds.
