March Mappy Hour D.C.

Last night’s third Mappy Hour in Washington, D.C. featuring Rob Snowhite, Urban Fly Fishing Consultant, was another huge success!

mappy-hour-fishing-1We went back to Meridian Pint again this month to meet with over 80 Washingtonians to learn about the best places to fish in the urban DC area. Rob brought along some maps of regional fishing areas and an array of flies used to lure different types of fish.

We kicked off the event with some awesome drink specials for the Mappy Hour crowd and then Rob shared with us stories and information on the types of fish and other goodies found on local fishing trips throughout the year in the Tidal Basin, C&O Canal, Rock Creek Park, and the Potomac River. Even some gruesome tales about combatting local invasive species!

We learned about how to get into the local fly fishing scene with references to local clubs, events and outfitters to get you set up with gear. A huge thanks to everyone who came out for the events and we can’t wait to see you again for Mappy Hour in April!
