Back in November, we scheduled a bunch of snow-sports for our winter editorial calendar. This was the year we were going to try cross country skiing, snowshoeing and maybe even skinning but the balmy temperatures kept us hiking, biking and surfing through the winter months. Still, we’ve made a point to snowboard as much as possible even though the season was late to open and will end in a few weeks.
Spring ski shuttles
We’re advocates of heading to the ski hill in the spring so we’re going to keep it up as much as possible until the snow melts. Follow our lead and grab a ride from either New York City Snow Bus or OvRride (both of trips scheduled through April). OvRride is even hosting a weekend trip to Utah which includes airfare, lift tickets and lodging.
If you’re lucky enough to have some flexibility in your schedule, look for spring deals for lodging and lift tickets at ski destinations like Park City or Whistler. They’re cheaper this time of year and the flight can even be shorter than a bus ride to Vermont.
Trip Tip: Flee the regionLook for spring deals for lodging and lift tickets at ski destinations like Park City or Whistler. They’re cheaper this time of year and if you have some flexibility in your schedule, you can book a weekday flight for a steal (the flight can even be shorter than a bus ride to Vermont). If you can’t spare the days off, OvRride is hosting a weekend trip to Snowbird which includes airfare, lift tickets and lodging. |
