Denver, CO (November 28, 2016) – New York City-based OutdoorFest is expanding their popular Mappy Hour program to the Rockies this December. The monthly event billed as “the happy hour for outdoor enthusiasts” successfully launched in New York City in early 2014 and has since expanded to Austin and Calgary. OutdoorFest has identified Denver as the next major urban area with a large population of outdoor enthusiasts looking to connect with a rapidly growing community of adventurers.
“We never thought we’d be launching in Denver but the requests have been constant” explains OutdoorFest Founder Sarah Knapp on the decision to head to Denver “one factor we’ve identified is the rapid population growth meaning people new to the city and looking for a community and knowledge on getting outdoors. We’re hoping to aid in the process.”
Whether new or old to Denver, all local outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to join the launch event on December 5th 2016 at Black Shirt Brewery (3719 Walnut St.). Mappy Hour promises to be a night to meet fellow skiers, backpackers, kayakers, climbers and adventure buddies and plan adventure packed trips with a like-minded outdoor community.
