For the last few years we’ve been focusing on the how of the outdoors – from itineraries for micro-adventures near your city to bikepacking and camping skills lessons.
For 2022, we really wanted to zoom in on the who of the outdoors, specifically through people’s individual passions. That’s why we’re excited to share a new series focusing on outdoor makers – the people who spend their evenings after work sewing an ultralight backpack or creating a piece of outdoor inspired artwork with wood.
Every month, we’ll feature one new maker, their story and their art. We’ll also be giving away a custom piece to one Mappy Hour member who will be able to bring some of that passion and creativity to their home.
We hope that this series inspires each of you to follow your passions and pursue creativity. And we can’t wait to highlight makers from across the country – we know you’re going to love them!
Coming up:
March 3: Justin Bailey of Campfire Woodworks
March 30: Jeremy Goldsmith of Pyro Globes
April 20: Juniper Lee of Unmarked Gear
Finally, we wanted to give a huge shout out to Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Those of you who have been part of the Mappy Hour community for a while know that Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is always down to support us and our creative project ideas – from the Summer of Bikepacking to a backcountry skiing series and so much more.
Without their support, this new series wouldn’t be possible and we are so appreciative and excited to have them be part of this journey.
