Yesterday, a group of intrepid New Yorkers hopped on the Metro-North train from Grand Central Terminal for a day of paddling. Our zone of exploration for the day was Constitution Marsh, a 270-acre sanctuary maintained by the Audubon Society.
This motor-free area was full of gorgeous birds, peaceful paddling and even a swimming hole. Even if you missed this group outing, the trip is easy to do, just follow this guide to paddling Constitution Marsh.
The trip was part of a series presented by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. aimed at helping New Yorkers enjoy outdoors even more! Afterward the kayaking, we were lucky enough to enjoy delicious Sierra Nevada brews before heading back to the city.
