We’re teaming up with GAIA GPS to create new itineraries for you to enjoy every month! There also hooking us up with one month for free – which you can redeem using this link: bit.ly/gaiafreemonth. (And if you like it head to bit.ly/3v5W4CB to get 25% off an annual GAIA GPS subscription).
Thanks to Mappy Hour Seattle member Christy for sharing one of her favorite local hikes with us for Seattle’s Map of the Month.
This hike may be short but it’s tough, with 2,000 feet of gain to a rocky ledge with amazing views up top. It’s an easy drive from Seattle and parking is generally pretty good – which takes some of the stress off.
This route is especially fun for climbers – bring your bouldering pad for a fun multi-sport day
More advanced hikers can push further onto Ida Spring Trail (I did) or even keep going up to Putrid Pete’s Peak (be careful!)
Directions:
Per usual the WTA provides great directions for both driving and the trail.
