We’re boat-bound!

We’re exactly 12 days away from the next Mappy Hour and we’re excited to be sharing that our September Mappy Hour will be aboard the Lilac Steamer. September 22nd, OutdoorFest is teaming up with Sailors NYC to bring you a nautically themed Mappy Hour.

“Doors” open at 7:00PM and we’ll have Sailors NYC’s Captain Nitzan Levy start presenting at 7:30PM on nautical charts, navigation and more. After that we’ll be hanging out on the boat’s deck, enjoying fresh breezes from the river.

This Mappy Hour will definitely be selling out so grab your spot now by registering here.

More about the boat – the LILAC

LILAC is a 1933 lighthouse tender that once carried supplies to lighthouses and maintained buoys for the U.S. Lighthouse Service and the U.S. Coast Guard.  Decommissioned in 1972, USCGC LILAC is now a museum ship owned by the non-profit Lilac Preservation Project.  As America’s only surviving steam-powered lighthouse tender, LILAC is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is eligible to become a National Historic Landmark.

More about our September partner – Sailors NYC

Sailors NYC is a sailors club and an affiliated ASA (American Sailing Association) school. The club offers activities for both members and non-members, sailing lessons and courses and private charters out of two bases on both sides of the Hudson – Pier 25 in TriBeCa, NYC and Liberty Harbor Marina in Jersey City.

We invite you to celebrate with us the revival of the New York City waterfront!
