You know it’s a good Mappy Hour when there are over 100 people running around Central Park with Olympian Kaitlyn Farrington and acclaimed trail runner Hal Koerner. This past July was our third Summer Series Mappy Hour with The North Face and we went big…
The night started off with this map:
Each team was challenged to go to as many stations as possible to earn points. The North Face challenged everyone to build tents as fast as possible using only one hand each while athletes Hal Koerner and Kaitlyn Farrington challenged everyone to various “exercises” on the park lawn.
From climbing at Chess Rock, to knot tying with Freestone Expeditions to Parkour with the Movement Creative, we tried to throw in some curve balls for everyone!
Fitness challenges came from the Mountain Athletics team and the local chapter of The November Project with burpees, squat jumps, sprints and more!
Afterwards we all ended up back at the North Face where we shared a beer with the athletes, gave out awards and brand new North Face x Mappy Hour water bottles for all.
