This month, Mappy Hour is partnering with Your Shot, National Geographic's photography community, to teach you the tips and tricks for capturing stellar outdoor shots.

But first, a little homework: between now and July 25, take photos of your adventures and post them to Instagram with the hashtags #mappyhourdc (https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/mappyhourdc/) and #yourshotmeetup (https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/yourshotmeetup/). We'll pick a few of our favorites to use as a starting point for a discussion about what makes a great photo. And, everyone who submits a photo and attends Mappy will be entered into a raffle for some swag from National Geographic and Alley!
