Description

What are Chicago's Ecosystems? What the heck even is an Ecosystem?

Join us tonight for an adventure chat with Artt Mathews, Operations Manager at our Department of Conservation & Experiential Programming at the Cook County Forest Preserves.

We'll be learning about our local natural habitats – and how to explore them.

Artt will be diving into
• What is an ecosystem? Why are they important?
• Overview of Chicago’s natural ecosystems — and specific Forest Preserves that feature them
• Hidden gems and tips for venturing to each Forest Preserve (trails, camping, paddling, nature centers, etc.)

This event is completely free! We encourage everyone to leave questions for Artt in advance in the "live discussion" area on this page.
