Walk With Us
Full datetime event:Saturday, May 14, 2022From 9:30 am to 11:00 am
We'll meet at the trailhead that leads into the park and starts at the parking lot.
You can bike, metro, or drive in. Closest station is Deanwood on the Orange Line. Bike parking is further up the trail at the River Trail Trailhead.
We've heard from the expert about Forest Bathing, now let's try it for ourselves!
Sage Raindancer joins Mappy Hour to leads us on a walk through the beautiful Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. We'll be actively learning (and re-learning!) what it means to interface, connect, and become a part of the outdoors.
We'll be capping the event at 15 members, so make sure to sign up asap!

Sage’s outdoor experience expands from being a veteran in the Army, to being a bike messenger in the mid to late 90's, to being an Outdoor Instructor/Experience Guide with REI’s Outdoor School, an alumni of NOLS & Outward Bound, and is a guide for Nature and Forest Therapy.
Sage has led nature therapy walks, or forest bathing walks, for the general public at the National Arboretum and Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. Sage also leads walks with Nature Worx, a non-profit located by the Upper Chesapeake Bay. Nature Worx leads walks for the general public, and with business and local universities. Nature Worx also specifically provides walks with veterans, facilities for folks in recovery from substance abuse, and for women and children in transitional housing.
