TIM MURPHY, Founder & Program Director, MSW, AMGA SPI
Tim began climbing in the early 1990s and has climbed hundreds of traditional single and multi-pitch routes in some of the most inspiring climbing areas in the US, including Zion National Park, Indian Creek, and Gallatin Canyon. He has taught climbers, guided in the wilderness, and managed outdoor programs for over 20 years and is passionate about fostering relationships between people and nature through climbing and other outdoor pursuits.

EUNNY JANG, Founder & Director of Operations, AMGA SPI
Eunny discovered climbing after returning to the DC area from 10 years in Colorado. Building on plentiful wilderness and mountain experience as an avid backpacker and through-hiker in the west and a background in teaching, instructional design, and category and program management in educational publishing, she is excited to combine work and passion, helping others navigate a safe and successful transition into outdoor climbing by building their technical skills, knowledge, and leader confidence.

East Outdoors is dedicated to sparking personal and community growth by creating pathways for all to build their own relationships with the outdoors.

Their core values are:
Adventure
Education
Stewardship
Mindfulness
Healthy communities

Health and Safety

Masks are not required for this event, but we do encourage wearing one if you feel more comfortable doing so.

**************************************

Outdoor courses are held rain or shine; instructors make the final judgment on whether the weather makes it impossible to continue. As a general rule, weather moves quickly in our region, our rock type dries quickly, and climbing in light rain is both possible and fun--as long as you bring the right attitude and a rain jacket.

We will notify you ahead of time if an extended bad weather forecast makes rescheduling likely, and we will pause courses in progress for thunder and lighting or for excessive heat (over 100 degrees). Rescheduled courses and classes rained out before 12pm will receive a rain check. Otherwise, come prepared to climb and enjoy the outdoors.

Event refund policy

You can get a refund until 7 days before the event
